The Art of Knowledge Exchange: A Results-Focused Planning Guide For Development Practitionersis a step-by-step guide to designing effective knowledge exchange activities.
Designing and implementing knowledge exchange initiatives can be a complex and time-consuming process. This guide takes the guesswork out of this process by breaking it down into simple steps and providing tools to help you play a more effective role as knowledge connector and learning facilitator.
“This guide focuses on the ‘how to’ of knowledge exchange to help improve the understanding, practice, and results of knowledge exchange initiatives designed and implemented by the World Bank and the development community. It is a user-friendly, hands-on tool for any development practitioner interested in designing results-oriented knowledge exchanges,” says Shobha Kumar, Senior Learning Specialist at the World Bank Institute’s Knowledge Exchange Practice.
An example is the multi-tiered knowledge exchange between Cambodia and China. Through this exchange, the Cambodian delegation: increased its implementation know-how; raised awareness about the multidisciplinary nature of Special Economic Zones (SEZs); and improved consensus about the potential for SEZs as a way of stimulating economic growth and private sector investment.
